Remember your training.
As you see the confirmations God gave Abram, you can humbly thank God, that he himself has confirmed, by his own power, by his own promise, by his own covenant – He is committed to deliver his blessings to you.
By teaching us this prayer, Jesus is summoning us into the presence of Our Father, day after day, not to hear His voice accusing us, but to hear his voice acquitting us.
Jesus is the only way to God, and the way to God is only Jesus, unassisted by anything we would try to add.
