Fellowship Reformed Church in Mt Pleasant met for their Sunday evening worship service on July 13. And the Assistant Pastor, Josh Duemler, led the service and preached, continuing his sermon series through Psalm 16. Pastor Josh preached from verses 3 and 4, and pointed out that our Christian hope prompts us to delight more in God’s people and to despise worldliness. Our hope and expectation of spending eternity with God prompts us to love being around other Christians and to have a growing distaste for pursuing scandalous sins and worldly companionship.

The text of Psalm 16, verses three and four are as follows: “As for the saints in the land, they are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight. The sorrows of those who run after another god shall multiply; their drink offerings of blood I will not pour out, or take their names on my lips”
