"Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy."
At the cross, Jesus was prevented from seeing the Father’s mercy, so that we’d be given the sight to gaze on the Lord’s steadfast love and faithfulness forever.
But Jesus crossed the great gulf from the Holy land of heaven, and he landed his boat in the defiled regions of the earth – because in mercy, he loved us.
Remember your training.
God’s word is calling us to contend for the faith today, so that his truth will be carried along into tomorrow.
The intensity of our commitments may change depending on our attitude and circumstances. But God’s faithfulness is different.
God, unlike us, is a committed, compassionate Savior.
