But Jesus crossed the great gulf from the Holy land of heaven, and he landed his boat in the defiled regions of the earth – because in mercy, he loved us.
God wants his churches to be filled with prayer. He wants us to pray with holy hands, and for our prayers to be all-encompassing, peace-pursuing, salvation-seeking, and God-glorifying.
Will you curse God and sink? Or will you trust God and swim?
Why did Jesus come? Paul says Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners. And when Jesus saves sinners, he transforms them too!
Feeling downcast? Pray, sing, preach the gospel to yourself, and be convinced of God's love and sovereign power.
God’s word is calling us to contend for the faith today, so that his truth will be carried along into tomorrow.
Jesus Christ needs to remain at the center of our faith, because it’s all too easy for us to come up with a distorted version of Christianity that fixates on something else.
Grace, grace, and more grace – sola gratia – grace alone. That’s what God’s putting on display here.
